A new report from eMarketer says that the number of mobile-only internet users will rise substantially through 2020. In 2016, nearly one in 10 U.S. internet users (11.7%) will go online exclusively through a mobile device.

In contrast, eMarketer expects that U.S. internet users who go online via desktop/laptop at least monthly in 2016 will only be 88.3%, a significant decrease from 97.3% in 2011.

Christian organizations must make this important consideration when designing online experiences. Because people are beginning to access the internet solely via mobile devices, it’s imperative that websites give these users an excellent online experience.
